Most of our own Gold Coast homes sleep up to ten, so a big family or a group of friends would end up in two houses, or a row of hotel rooms with nowhere to gather. Bellagio is different. It is one private estate on its own point of the river, with seven suites for up to twenty people and everything the group wants to do already inside the gate.

You drive through the gates of Hope Island Resort and arrive under a columned portico. Inside, a marble lobby and a sweeping double staircase rise beneath a lit dome, and every level opens to the water.
Downstairs is built for being together: a chef-ready kitchen and butler's pantry, a grand lounge with a piano, a nine-seat cinema and a games room with a bar, snooker table and racing simulator. Outside, a 15 metre pool and heated spa sit below the terraces, with a barbecue, a fire pit, a floodlit tennis court, park-sized lawns and 200 metres of river frontage with a private pontoon and kayaks.
Bellagio is a Partnered Stay, independently owned and hosted by Craig and his team. Send us your dates and group size: we check availability with the host, send your quote and confirm your booking.
A hotel splits your group across ten rooms and still leaves you with nowhere to gather.
What it costs
The whole estate, from about $150 each a night
Bellagio starts from $3,000 a night for the whole estate. Shared between twenty people, that is from about $150 each a night, and it includes the pool and spa, the tennis court, the cinema, the games room, the kayaks and a four-seat golf kart for getting around the resort. The host also stocks the house before you arrive with a starter of beer, spirits and soft drinks and a pantry of essentials. The minimum stay is three nights, and the full price for your dates comes with your quote.
The suites
Seven suites, and who sleeps where
The suites are spread across two levels, so grandparents can stay downstairs, the kids can share the bunk room and couples get a suite with its own sitting room. Some rooms include sofa beds, which is how the house reaches twenty.

Through the host
What the host can arrange
Craig and his team run a full concierge for Bellagio. Tell us what you'd like when you enquire and it comes back as one quote with your stay. Their published guide prices, current from May 2026:
- A private chef at the house: a Georgian feast of handmade khinkali, walnut dishes and fresh salads, or a Modern Australian table of seafood grills and canapés. Menu and price for your group.
- A crewed boat from the pontoon: charters from $780 an hour, or a four-hour cruise for up to 20 with grazing and drinks for about $5,450.
- Chauffeured transfers to and from Brisbane and Gold Coast airports, and a LandCruiser Sahara as a second car for $295 a day.
- In-house massage from about $135 an hour, and head spa appointments at Sanctuary Cove.
- Guided jet ski tours from Sanctuary Cove, a half day at Norwell Motorplex, or private fireworks over the river.
- Daily housekeeping, from $595 a visit, so nobody spends the holiday doing towels.

Hope Island
Where Hope Island puts you
Hope Island Resort is a gated community on the northern Gold Coast, built around canals, a marina and golf. It is quieter than the beach strip, and it puts the best of the north coast close: by the host's own times, Hope Island Marina is 5 minutes away, Sanctuary Cove 10, the beaches 20 and Brisbane 45.
- Hope Island and Sanctuary Cove
Championship golf
The Peter Thomson designed course inside the resort, and Sanctuary Cove's The Pines and The Palms close by.
From your pontoonThe marina and the Broadwater
Cafés and dining at Hope Island Marina, and the sandbars and islands of the Broadwater beyond.
- 10 minutes
Sanctuary Cove
Restaurants and shops around the marina village, and InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort.

Dreamworld at Coomera and Warner Bros. Movie World at Oxenford are both a short drive inland from Hope Island.
