Beachfront days on the Tweed Coast
Just south of the Queensland border, Casuarina sits on the Tweed Coast between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay. Our first New South Wales home is on the sand here.
About New South Wales.
The Tweed Coast is the northern edge of New South Wales, a quieter stretch of beach towns between Coolangatta and Byron. Casuarina is a planned beach village with the path to the sand at the front door and Salt Village a short walk up the road.
Kingscliff and Cabarita are a few minutes away. Byron Bay is about 25 minutes south, and Gold Coast Airport is 15 to 20 minutes north. Winter here is the dry season, and whales run along this coast from June to November.
The New South Wales collection starts with a beachfront house at Casuarina. The same standard as the rest of the portfolio: considered architecture, a serious site, and hosts who take hospitality seriously.
What to do.
Casuarina Beach
A leash-on dog beach out the front door, patrolled through school holidays, with the walk to the water measured in metres.
Salt Village
Coffee at The Commons, a supermarket, and cafes a few hundred metres from the sand. Salt Beach Markets on the third Saturday of the month.
The Tweed and Byron
Kingscliff and Cabarita a few minutes up the road, Byron Bay about 25 minutes south, and the Gold Coast hinterland close enough for a day trip.
Whale season
From June to November the whales run this coast. Winter days sit around 21 degrees, the dry season on the Tweed.
